EYEBROW RESTORATION

BOSTON HAIR EYEBROW RESTORATION

Surgical eyebrow transplant is a procedure performed to enhance the appearance of the eyebrows by restoring or reshaping them through the transplantation of hair follicles. It is a cosmetic procedural technique primarily used to address issues such as thinning eyebrows, sparse hair growth, or complete eyebrow loss due to various factors, including genetics, overplucking, trauma, or medical conditions.

The procedure typically involves the following steps:

1= Consultation: The first step is to consult with a qualified cosmetic provider or a hair restoration specialist. During this consultation, you can discuss your desired eyebrow shape, density, and any concerns or expectations you may have. The provider will evaluate your eyebrows and overall facial features to determine the most appropriate treatment plan.

2= Donor Hair Harvesting: In a  eyebrow transplant, hair follicles are usually taken from a donor area on the patient's scalp. The most common donor area is the back or sides of the scalp, where hair is usually more resistant to balding. The provider will extract individual hair follicles or a strip of tissue containing hair follicles, depending on the chosen transplantation technique.

3= Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) Technique: FUE is a commonly used technique for eyebrow transplants. In this method, the surgeon uses a small, specialized punch tool to extract individual hair follicles from the donor area. The donor hairs are carefully selected to match the natural color, texture, and angle of the existing eyebrow hairs.

4= Recipient Site Creation: After the donor hair is harvested, the surgeon will create tiny incisions or recipient sites in the eyebrow area where the new follicles will be transplanted. The placement and angle of these sites are crucial to achieve a natural-looking result.

5= Hair Follicle Transplantation: The extracted hair follicles are then transplanted into the recipient sites created in the eyebrow area. The provider meticulously places each follicle to ensure proper angulation, direction, and density, replicating the natural growth pattern of eyebrows.

6= Post-Transplant Care: Following the surgery, you will be provided with instructions on how to care for your newly transplanted eyebrows. This may include guidelines on cleansing, avoiding strenuous activities, and using prescribed medications to prevent infection or promote healing. It is essential to follow these instructions carefully to achieve optimal results.

Over time, the transplanted hair follicles will begin to grow, resulting in fuller, more aesthetically pleasing eyebrows. It usually takes several months for the transplanted hairs to fully integrate and produce the desired appearance. However, it's important to note that not all transplanted hairs may survive, and multiple sessions may be required to achieve the desired density and symmetry.
